Maddy was the recipe queen with white beans and many mixing bowls and spoons. She poured and she measured and she scooped for almost an entire hour. I was on the other side of the counter making some homemade potato soup, thoroughly enjoying watching my mini-chef concoct her lovely imaginary recipes.
Wondering what the clean-up was like? Easy, peasey, lemon squeezey, it took 5 minutes, and the floor needed a sweep with or without the beans. :-)
This is one of those activities where you just have to let go of the control for a little while so she can have a heap o' fun.

Love it! I love the second picture of her! We were bored this afternoon and I found a bag of lentils that we'll never eat and we were playing on the kitchen floor. You're right, all we had to do was sweep it up. Isn't it crazy how hard it is to actually just let go? It was fun, but I'm sure we'll be finding lentils all around for a while now!
