Sunday night the three of us created a gingerbread house. All of the pieces are cut with cookie cutters from a Williams and Sonoma kit I purchased after Christmas last year. The trees and people are designed to be 3-D, so they (sort of) stand up on their own. The snowmen were not part of the kit, I cut them out with a separate cookie cutter, and now that I look at the picture, they look a bit like ghosts. :-) Maddy must have been very surprise when she went to pre-school the next day and made graham cracker houses there, too! Her house is now sitting on the corner of our board, but it is mysteriously losing bits and pieces.

Very cool! I like the idea of a kit...I'm not sure where I would even start without a kit. I think Jordan would like building a gingerbread house when he gets a little older. I remember in 5th grade we all made gingerbread houses and everyone brought in all kinds of candy. My favorite is the ribbon candy, I had never had ribbon candy before that.
