Maddy-isms

My apologies for being away for so long, we have all been feeling under the weather. Yuck. Nothing serious, just head colds all around leaving us feeling extra tired.

I have a couple of Maddy-isms for you. More sweet and profound rather than funny. She has been thinking about things in that little head of hers. You can see her processing what life is all about in her questions.

Maddy: Did I come out of your tummy?
Me: Yes, you did.
Maddy: Did the doctor help?
Me: Yes.
Maddy: Did he use scissors?
Me: No. (I don't think I need to explain an episiotomy to her right now, but she was not a c-section, so no, and also TMI)
Maddy: Then how did I get out?
Me: Well, girls have one hole for peepee, one hole for poopoo and one hole for babies.
Maddy: {quizzical look on her face} Do I have one?
Me: Yes. The end.

Maddy stopped to look out our wedding pictures on the wall. The one with all of our families is hanging where she can see it. We often stop and name everyone, especially mom and Ross (my mom's boyfriend). They are both gone.

Maddy: Where are Grandma and Ross?
Me: They died.
Maddy: Where is their skin?
Me: At the cemetery.
Maddy: Will their bones become fossils?
Me: Yes.
Maddy: Just like dinosaurs?
Me: Yes.

So sweet. I share this one more to keep it somewhere so I will remember it.
