Auto Show

The three of us made a visit to the Chicago Auto Show today. It is a mighty fun and mighty exhausting day!
We made a wise choice starting out early, and lucked out with someone handing us a free ticket and disappearing into the crowd as we shouted thanks. I am so very proud of myself for packing our lunches, and very glad after I saw the line, the price and the look of the food at the show. Three peanut butter sandwiches later we were good to go!
Marc convinced Maddy to ask one of the car ladies with a microphone a question about the Corvette Sting Ray concept car she was describing. Maddy asked if the car growls! She stopped and talked to Maddy and told her the car had a name, which I can't remember, but had something to do with Transformers. Oh, Marc just said it was the Sidewinder. It actually has a role in the next Transformers movie. After seeing the car for myself, I think it really does growl.
Maddy had a great time trying out every red car she could find and she loved pretending to drive the cars. I can see her wishing for a red car some day. My dream car is a red 1968 Mustang. Maybe Maddy can get me one and I'll share it with her! :-)

First of all, I love the new layout/blog background. It's great!

Second of all, I love the car show! I used to go all the time when I was a kid because my dad sold cars. We had so much fun running around collecting as many brochures as we could and sitting in the cars. Chad and I went a few years ago but haven't been back since.

Today we had a mini-scare with Jordan at Sweet Tomatoes. My aunt was watching him and then all of a sudden he was gone and we were frantic but he had just gone to grab salt from a booth behind us so everything was okay. When I saw the car show though I automatically thought about Jordan getting lost. We haven't ventured into the city with Jordan since we went to the Aquarium last year. I'm looking forward to nice weather and then definitely hitting all the museums and the parks with Jordan. I can't wait!

Third of all, kudos to you and packing lunches. VERY smart! Very earth-friendly as well as pocket/purse/wallet-friendly. :) Love it.

Fourth of all, I just like saying fourth of all.
