Um, Uh, Oh, Yeah, Um, Oops

Maddy dropped an F-bomb today.
Yes, the F word.
When you stop giggling you can start the finger pointing.
At me.
Oh, and she used it properly.
I even asked her to repeat it.
Then I pretended to not understand what she said.
She look confused.
Confused as in she must have been thinking, "I'm pretty sure I heard you use it in the car the other day."
She would be right.
I rarely use the word, but I let if fly in the car.
In that brief moment of weakness she caught that word out of the air like a fly ball at a Cubs game and hung on to it until it was worth something, four days later.
Yep, that's my girl.
Look out world, here she comes!

What I want to know is how exactly did she use it?

Isn't is funny/scary how quickly kids pick up on things. My little sister and I were visiting our older sister who has two kids and my little sister's phone rang and she has the song Poker Face as her ring tone. Well lo and behold my niece who is two and a half started singing poker face. Only the chorus, but still the words to that song are terrible! Mike and I better start working on what we say before this babus arrives!

You must be so proud. My little stinker did this at age three. It happened in the car and I almost crashed. It wakes you up, that's for sure.

I wish I could remember exactly what she said, but I don't. I can tell you that she was in the middle of a time out for spitting water over and over after being told not to- over and over. She was mad. She was waiting for just the right moment to use it, and she did it while we were visiting a friend's house.

That is cuh-lassic! It has to be embarrassing but it is pretty awesome how kids to pick it up so easily. The other day in the car someone did something crazy in front of Chad and he yelled out, "What the..." and Jordan called out from the back, "...heck!" It makes me laugh but it's so scary to realize what we say all the time. At least it was heck. At my parents, Jordan saw a frog and called out, "Oh my gosh!" My mom had to call me and tell me he said that. :)
