Maddy had her big party today. It was quite the dinosaur bash. I'll give you the quick tour:
Dinosaur cake by mommy. My mom always made our cakes. Now I know what a labor of love it truly was, and I appreciate it 100 times more as an adult than I ever did as a kid.
Picture with a T-Rex.
Tattoos.
A dinosaur dig in the basement. The kids had to dig through the sand to find the dinosaur bones. Everyone took home a dinosaur skeleton.
Dinosaur nuggies and curly fries. Some children also ate fruit and vegetables. Some children: meaning not my child.
Cake.
The end of the cake. A true paleontologist should be able to rebuild this dinosaur.
And of course, presents. I like opening the gifts at the party. It's a personal preference for me, Marc too. Dig the mask? Recognize the dinosaur shirt? (Ok, you can't really see the dinosaur on her shirt, but that's the one.)
Ah, there's the shirt, with a little ketchup stain, as it should be.
Now, the birthday girl is sound asleep. What a great day she had. Tomorrow she is officially 4.

Woo hoo!!!! What a fun party. Jordan was so proud of digging out his dinosaur. We saw Grandma and Papa today and he had to tell them that he dug it out of the sand. :)
When Charlotte is old enough to have a fun birthday party will you please fly out here, plan it, prepare for it and host it? You are the ultimate party planner. I love all the details you thought of. What a great party!
