Monday evening Marc and I ventured out to see the Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. It was wonderful, I really enjoyed it. The exhibit consisted of props and costumes from the movies with descriptions of how they fit the storyline. It was fun for us and the attention to detail by the set/costume/prop designers was amazing. Since the exhibit contained an entire section on the Dark Arts we felt it would be too scary for Maddy (good call) so we asked her Uncle Luc to watch her for us. He very kindly agreed, Grandpa joined in too, and they took Maddy to the Lincoln Park Zoo. She LOVES the zoo.
Last night she wanted to email Uncle Luc and Grandpa to tell them what a great time she had. Since she is still a few years away from spelling (except for Maddy and ice cream) she dictated the email to me and I typed it as fast as I could.
Here it is:
Dear Uncle Luc and Grandpa,
Thank you for taking me to the zoo, I really loved it so I am going to send you some flowers to take home because Blackjack and Emily want to be married so they are just going to go and marry each other.
The end.
Love,
Maddy

Hilarious. I was at the Museum of Science and Industry on Monday too. I took some of the group home boys. We didn't see the HP exhibit though. It sounded like fun, though.
