Tomorrow is the start of Apartment Therapy's Kitchen Cure for Spring 2010. You sign up to participate (free) and you will receive an email each week with a task you are to accomplish so you can organize your kitchen. It's like a structured spring cleaning for your kitchen. I'm going to do it, will you do it too?
You can go to their site and check it out here.
You get a whole week to accomplish each of the tasks, and I think the first one is going to be the worst- tackling the pantry. Even if you don't have a pantry, you probably still have cupboards that store your canned and boxed food. I can get things in there that don't move for a long, long time.
This is something that I have to do in the school library as well. In the library it's called weeding. I weed out the old, dated, worn, tired, or hasn't-been-checked-out-for-a-decade books. This provides two wonderful results:
1. Room for new stuff.
2. The stuff still there looks better and will now circulate more.
So, go take a look at your cupboards and see if you are up for it!
(The best part- no one will know if you don't do it, don't finish, or don't care!)

Oh man this is a great challenge. I have to do this. I'm the queen of stacking my cupboards full of food, in case of an emergency, but then it goes bad before I know it!
Good post, good challenge!
Sorry that was me. I forgot my sister was signed in on my computer. Whoops.
You have to post pictures! I didn't read this until now so I didn't sign up...but I can still do the challenges. We have lots of random stuff in our pantry...speaking of that, I'm hungry...does snacking count as cleaning out?
