Our power went out last night at 7 PM. We heard the transformer blow and called it in to the electric company right away. At around 11 PM we saw the flashlights in our backyard. The power was back on at 3 AM. It was quite an adventure for Maddy.
When she got up this morning she said to me,"I have good news and I have bad news. The bad news is the power went out. The good news is, it's back on."
Nodding. Yes indeed, the simple truth laid out as seen by a 3 year old.
Ok, one more.
We spent the morning on Sunday cleaning and cooking and getting ready for dinner with Marc's family at our house. We were all in grubby clothes and it was time to change before our guests arrived. I told Maddy we were going to go upstairs and put on nice clothes. She asked, "Are you going to wear your wedding dress?"
Don't you wish we could dress up in fancy clothes more often?

Oh how I wish I could get away with wearing my wedding dress out and about! Wouldn't that be grand?
