Maddy has been a complete joy this week. I don't think she has had a single time-out that I can remember, although she did have a few warnings. She has been polite when we are out, completely charmed the pancake place staff (Country Kitchen) and has been in a good mood all around. I don't get it. I have given her tons and tons of praise so she understands that THIS is the behavior we like. I am so grateful for the turn-around from last week. I wanted to run away from home. Someone said to me that perhaps last week she had a growth spurt, it makes kids cranky. Maybe that's all it was. When she was smaller and had a bad week it usually meant a tooth was making an appearance. She is even sleeping better this week. It's 7:30 AM and she's still snoozing. That was unheard of last week. She was up in the 6:00 hour every morning. It's all part of the ups and downs of parenting. Speak of the devil, er....princess, I hear her now!

I am so grateful that Maddy turned it around this week. Last week was tough for you, and in turn tough for me. Sorry if I had a shorter fuse last week. I know you understand where it came from.
Anyway, this week has been better. And you have been wonderful, as usual. I was just trying to think of a word that goes with "threes" the way "terrible" goes with "twos", but there isn't anything popping into my head. Maybe that is why there isn't an expression for three year olds.
It only gets better. Well, at least until they're teenagers. Then it goes you know where in a hand basket.
What a sweet picture! I'm happy you had a good week! And, to top it off...Mother's Day!
