An IKEA hack, that is. There is a whole website on hacking IKEA items into new things. Really.
I am not submitting this to the website, but I have my own IKEA hack.
It's a stroller bag.
We bought this jogging stroller (AKA racing stroller, Maddy likes that better) last year to replace Maddy's outgrown baby stroller. It is intended to haul Maddy around as we go for exercise type walks. It needed a bag to hang off the handles. I didn't want to spend a lot just for stroller bag, so I thought I would create my own from a cheap IKEA bag. At just $10 it completely fit my needs. It holds a change of clothes, a little first aid kit, bug spray, sunscreen and any other junk we might need at the moment.
Now, I know it's not beautiful, but it's completely functional.
Here is the lowdown:
find the middle of the bag's shoulder strap
cut it at the middle
wrap the strap around the handles of the stroller until you find the best length for your needs
cut if needed
sew on velcro to the ends and the attachment point on the strap
I added one extra piece so I can stick the pieces back together as a shoulder strap, if needed
Add it to the stroller and WALK!
